This Season's Schedule has been posted on the Schedule Page. The scheduled meet for Becker and Annandale/Maple Lake at STMA has not been scheduled yet. Please check back often for any changes.
The 2009-10 Wrestling Season will be the 5th year of the Mississippi Youth Wrestling Conference.
Elk River is the only team that did not come back from last year. We have added Maple Lake/Annandale in their place. We will have one, nine team, division this year.
This is a youth wresting conference designed to promote the team concept in youth wrestling. Too often, youth wrestling has been focused on the individual through attendance at the chaotic and numbers-driven open tournaments. Most youth wrestlers find the few team duals they have the opportunity to wrestle in to be one of their best experiences of the season. While the conference will be competitive in nature, the conference clubs should seek to emphasize the team, have fun, and learn about wrestling, without undue stress on winning.
