At season end, there will be an NINE TEAM tournament. “This is a youth wresting conference designed to promote the TEAM concept in youth wrestling.”
The tournament will be held on February 14, 2009.
Weigh-In at 8:00 AM; Coaches meeting 8:45 AM; Wrestling starts at 9:00 AM.
Location: Buffalo Middle School Main Gym (Across from Wal-Mart on Hwy 25)
EACH CLUB IS TO PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF ONE TABLE WORKER WHEN THEIR TEAM IS WRESTLING!
Each team must declare its wrestlers and alternates for the tournament to the league director no later than 4 PM, February 10, 2009. If a club fails to submit its wrestlers, that club will automatically receive the last seed, regardless of any other criteria.
Each team will be allowed one wrestler in each weight class, plus five alternates. ALL wrestlers must report to the scorer’s table prior to wrestling.
NO ONE EXCEPT COACHES AND WRESTLERS ARE ALLOWED MATSIDE!!!!!!
Seeding for the nine-team round robin tournament will be seeded by performance in the divisional duals! ALL teams will be seeded (1-9)!
Seeding Criteria:
1. Divisional Record
2. Head to Head Record
3. Most Team Points in divisional matches
4. Coin Flip
All matches in each of the two rounds of wrestling will be wrestled at the same time. Each round of wrestling to start at the conclusion of the final match in the previous round. Proceed to your next mat!
Team Tournament Champions will receive the “traveling team” trophy, and "Team Champion" T-Shirts. Team Runner-up will also receive T-Shirts!
Team T-shirts are purchased by the previous years team champions!
The cost of the trophy and T-shirts will be divided by NINE, and each club will be responsible for bringing that amount to the season-end tourney. The clubs will also split the "gym fee" paid by the host club.

Tiebreaker Criteria
High School Wrestling Team Tiebreaker from the NFHS Rule Book:
The team whose opposing wrestler(s) or team has been penalized the greater number of team points for flagrant unsportsmanlike conduct shall be declared the winner
The team having won the greater number of matches shall be declared the winner.
The team having accumulated the greater number of points for falls, defaults, forfeits or disqualifications shall be declared the winner.
The team having the greater number of points for technical falls shall be declared the winner.
The team having the greater number of points for major decisions shall be declared the winner.
The team having greater number (total match points) of first match points score shall be declared the winner.
The team having the greater number of points for near-falls shall be declared the winner.
The team having the greater number of takedowns shall be declared the winner.
The team having the greater number of reversals shall be declared the winner.
The team having the greater number of escapes shall be declared the winner.
The team whose opponent has been penalized the greater number of points more often for stalling.
The team whose opponent has been warned more often for stalling shall be declared the winner.
The team whose opponent has the greater number of points for all other infractions shall be declared the winner.
If none of the above resolve the tie, either a tie shall be declared or the flip of the disk shall be declared the winner.
